THERE ARE TWO SAFETY MEASURES THAT COULD MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE FOR VIRGIN TRAINS USA, states Tom Gruber in the TC Palm's Sept. 21 Letters to the Editor. These two safety measures include fencing and channelized crossings.
"The point is, for a project that claims to be safety conscious, Virgin Trains clearly has avoided two design practices that are being used elsewhere in situations, not nearly as dangerous as Virgin Trains, that could make this a safer project and clearly could save lives," Gruber comments.
