MAN STRUCK AND KILLED BY TRI-RAIL TRAIN IN DANIA BEACH

A MAN WAS STRUCK AND KILLED BY A TRI-RAIL SUNDAY MORNING NOV. 25 IN DANIA BEACH, authorities said. The cause of the crash has not been determined and the accident is still under investigation.

The Friday night prior, another pedestrian was struck and killed. A total of ten people have been killed by Brightline's high-speed passenger trains since the beginning of their service this year.

BRIGHTLINE SUBMITS PROPOSAL FOR ORLANDO-TAMPA RAIL SERVICE

THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION RECEIVED A PROPOSAL FOR A FAST PASSENGER RAIL SERVICE BY ALL ABOARD FLORIDA, LINKING ORLAND TO TAMPA, the FDOT stated on Wednesday. All Aboard Florida has recently expressed interest in extending their rail service Brightline to Tampa.

FDOT and the Central Florida Expressway Authority have established a committee that will review submitted proposals before advancing the proposals to a state committee.
