Dear Secretary Foxx, (Anthony Foxx is the United States Secretary of Transportation)

I have been contacted by a constituent who has brought to my attention news reports of illegal and unethical behavior by the Louis Berger Group, Inc., and some of its affiliated entities, while working as a contractor to various U.S. governmennt agencies. My understanding is that the Louis Berger Group is a current contractor with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).

THREE KILLED AFTER AMTRAK TRAIN STRIKES PICKUP TRUCK IN CALIFORNIA

Three people were killed when their pickup truck was struck by an Amtrak train at a rail crossing north of Fresno, Calif., on Friday, an Amtrak spokeswoman said.

The crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. as the train was traveling to Bakersfield from Oakland, the spokeswoman, Vernae Graham, said.

None of the 217 passengers or the three crew members aboard the train, the San Joaquin, Train 713, were injured, she said.

This weekend anyone who lives, works or visits downtown West Palm Beach could have a tough time driving through there.

All Aboard Florida will be constructing new train tracks at the railroad crossing at Okeechobee Boulevard and Quadrille Boulevard for four days, resulting in detours.

Workers closed down Okeechobee Boulevard eastbound and westbound Friday night starting at 7:15 p.m.

So, Jay Kramer thinks the governor is the answer to moving the trains west. That's rich.

Where was Jay when we had a rally in March last year and 1,000 people signed a letter to the governor asking him to help us move the trains west?

Our team took the letter to Tallahassee where we spoke at the Florida Development Finance Corp. hearings against the trains and took the letter to the governor's office. Where was Jay?

Opponents of the All Aboard Florida high speed rail project fear the same tracks will be used to transport hazardous liquefied natural gas.

Local officials and opponents of the project raised their concerns at the St. Lucie County Commission meeting Tuesday evening.

Florida East Coast Railways has reportedly applied to the Federal Railroad Administration to start transporting LNG.

CSX: TRAIN DERAILS IN DC, LEAKS 3 DIFFERENT CHEMICALS

Residents in the Washington, D.C. area have been warned to prepare for a potentially slow commute Monday after a CSX freight train carrying hazardous material derailed near a Metro stop, sending 14 cars off the tracks and spilling hazardous material.

The train derailed about 6:40 a.m. near the Rhode Island Avenue Metro station, according to CSX.

Sodium hydroxide leaked from one of the derailed tanker cars, CSX spokeswoman Kristin Seay said.
