County commissioners aren’t going to let an Orange County transportation agency effectively dictate whether All Aboard Florida provides a train stop in Indian River County, they agreed Tuesday.

In a 5-0 vote, commissioners supported state Sen. Thad Altman, R-Melbourne, in his request that Attorney General Pam Bondi examine a lease between All Aboard and the Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority, now the Central Florida Expressway Authority.

All Aboard last year signed a 45-year lease with the expressway panel allowing it to extend new track on land near the Beachline Expressway, between Orlando and Cocoa.

Under the agreement, All Aboard Florida would pay the state $275,000 a year to use the rights of way.
