A BRIGHTLINE TRAIN STRUCK A CAR STOPPED ON THE RAILROAD TRACKS SHORTLY AFTER 7 AM THIS MORNING IN HALLANDALE BEACH. Fortunately, the driver and the 28 passengers on the train were not hurt.
Local 10 News reported that the driver had accidentally turned onto the railroad tracks, thinking it was a street. The driver then called 911 and was warned by the dispatcher that a train was approaching. After impact, the Brightline train pushed the car about 500 feet before coming to a stop.
